Infor is ending mainstream support and updates for Infernos at the end of 2024. Many of the underlying technologies such as Java 8, SQL Server, Microsoft .NET, and Windows used for Infernos on-premise are being retired and not maintained by their respective owners. This can lead to security issues and vulnerabilities that can’t be fixed. Infor will continue to offer updates, patches, and fixes (Supplementary Update Maintenance) until December 31, 2024. After that, the maintenance transitions to Sustaining Maintenance, where users will have access to pre-existing patches, documentation, and KB articles. However, no new updates or fixes will be provided. For more information, visit Infor’s document on “End of Supplementary Update Maintenance.”
If no action is taken, using Infernos on-premise beyond 2025 could potentially expose the environment to security risks.
